Above being a photographer and an entrepreneur, I’m a Mummy and family is at the centre of everything that I do.
Capturing those early days is so special, they are gone in a heartbeat and the photos are a way to remember that special time.
Newborn photography shoots take place in the comfort of your own home and each session is uniquely styled so no two shoots are the same. Always relaxed & down to earth, creating a bespoke experience rather than a conveyor belt of newborns.
I get to know each and every family and sometimes have the privilege of shooting maternity sessions before baby arrives or family sessions further down the line.
Over the last fourteen years I've had the privilege of photographing families across Dorset, creating timeless images that preserve those fleeting first days of parenthood.
I love to connect with other mothers, chatting about mum life and those shared experiences.
This sense of relationship is really important to me – it’s a real privilege to photograph these magical early moments. I will take care of your little one, capturing timeless images usually rocking a muslin on my shoulder whilst you get to relax and have a cup of tea (that in itself is something in those early days, am I right?)
As for the newborn snuggles, well they are the best part of my job – I’ve just got to make sure I pass them back before I get too broody!

Is It Too Late to Book a Newborn Session?
One of the questions I’m asked most often is, “Have we missed the newborn stage?” The good news is, it’s rarely too late.
The first two weeks are often ideal while babies are still extra sleepy and curled up, which is why I recommend booking during pregnancy so I can reserve space around your due date.
That said, beautiful photographs can still be captured with older babies too. Whether your little one is one week or several weeks old, my focus is always on preserving your family’s connection and this special season of life.
If you’re unsure whether it’s the right time, just get in touch – I’d love to chat and see how I can help.
Why Families Choose Me
Natural Lighting
I use natural sunlight in all my newborn photography, to create a soft and warm look. I have years of experience of how to make the most of the natural light in your home. There is no need to use harsh flashes to photograph your little one.
Years Of Experience
I have been photographing tiny babies for many years and have two little people of my own. You can trust me to safely pose your precious newborn. Baby cuddles is my speciality!
Those Little Details
The details are some of my favourite images, I always capture the little features that make your baby unique. Tiny fingers & perfect curls are just too cute not to photograph…
Your Baby's Story Starts With You
While your newborn will, of course, be the star of the session, some of the most treasured photographs are often the ones that include the whole family.
Those tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the way your toddler gently strokes their new sibling’s hair, the quiet cuddles on the sofa – these are the moments that tell the story of your baby’s first days and the love that surrounds them.
Every newborn session includes plenty of time for parent, sibling and family photographs. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly; I’ll gently guide you while capturing the natural connection that makes your family unique.
Because one day, these photographs won’t just remind you what your baby looked like… they’ll remind them how deeply they were loved from the very beginning.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Q's
I would love you to photograph my newborn, when should I book my session?
The best time to get in touch is just after your 20 week scan. Most sessions are booked in weeks or months in advance. (I book a limited number of due dates per month so that I can be sure to fit everybody in.) A £100 booking fee is required to secure your session.
What areas do you travel to?
I offer newborn photography across Dorset!
Based in Poole, I travel up to an hour for in-home newborn photography sessions — covering Bournemouth, Christchurch, Wimborne, Dorchester, Wareham, Swanage, Blandford, and surrounding areas.
Wherever you are in Dorset, I’ll bring a relaxed, natural newborn photography experience right to your home. Not sure if you’re within my travel area? Just send me a message — I’m always happy to help!
At what age do you photograph newborns?
Once your baby arrives and you have settled back in at home, just give me a call or email me and we can then confirm the best date and time for your session. Newborn sessions are best within 14 days of baby being born. At this stage most babies are still sleepy and more settled, allowing me to achieve those cute curled up newborn poses. However the perfect time to capture your newest little person is anytime, we can create lovely images at any age.
My baby is so fussy I’m afraid she’ll cry the entire time you’re here!
This is the wonderful thing about in-home sessions. We can stop at any time. I give you all the time you need to relax and recompose. Babies cry. It’s totally ok. It’s totally normal.
Will you help me choose what to wear?
Once you have booked your session, I will send you a welcome guide and a style guide, to help you plan and prepare for your shoot. If you have any questions or need any guidance on styling options, please pop me a message either via email, WhatsApp or Instagram – I’m here to help!
Im worried my house isn’t Pinterest perfect?
Mine isn’t either. And it definitely wasn’t when I had little ones. The goal for in-home sessions isn’t about the state of your house. It’s so much deeper than that. And really, all I need is one room with some good light and I can create magic.
How long does a typical session last?
Your newborn session will take around two hours to allow time for feeding, cuddles and bum changes. I am completely baby led and never rush a session.
Do you use or bring props?
Yes I bring along a small selection of wraps, blankets and baskets along with me.
We are so awkward in front of the camera. Will you help pose us?
Yes of course! I totally understand being awkward, because I am too! The experience is relaxed – prompted rather than posed. I promise to guide you throughout and ensure you feel at ease.
When will I receive my images?
You will receive your online gallery link within 2-3 weeks, to view your images and choose your final collection.
Who Can Be In The Photographs?
I will always include parent and sibling photographs in your session. Even your doggies or cats can get involved, we want to capture your little family all together.
