I created my Family Photography Dorset Sessions to press pause on those moments of connection and emotion. The sense of exploration and play, the unbridled joy and intimacy of what it means to be family.

Combining individual images, sibling shots and family photographs, these sessions are relaxed and organic, natural and child-led. I understand that family life is often one of chaos.

It’s not curated or cookie-cutter, every family has their own rhythm and routines. As a mother to two young boys, I’m certainly kept on my toes. I know more than ever that these messy moments portray the authenticity of family life.

I don’t like to shoot in a studio, I would much prefer for your photos to be real and truthful.

We can capture you in the privacy of your home or at a local park or beach. Those barefoot wave jumping photos are the perfect way to finish your session – they are so much fun!

A single session fee includes:
  • A one hour at home or on location Family session (within the Dorset area)
  • Natural posing and prompting by an experienced and professional photographer
  • Online gallery of 50 digital images (for viewing purposes only)
  • 5 digital images of your choice available to download
  • The option to purchase additional digital images, prints and wall art etc

Booking Your Session

Sessions are booked in advance by paying a £100 deposit, with the remaining £245 due on the day of the shoot. Once you have booked your session, I will send you a welcome guide and a style guide, to help you plan and prepare for your shoot.

Frequently Asked Q's

The Spring and Summer are generally the most popular, but I photograph families all year long. If you are hoping for a beach sunset session then summer is usually best, but early Autumn can also work really well, when the sunset is slightly earlier and the beaches aren’t so busy.

I don’t shoot in a studio — I much prefer your photos to feel real, natural, and true to you. My family photography Dorset sessions take place either in the privacy of your home or outdoors at a local park or beach. Those barefoot, wave-jumping moments at the end of a beach session are the perfect way to finish — they’re full of laughter, energy, and so much fun!

This is SUPER important – it’s the difference between an average and an AMAZING shoot! I have a styling guide which I send over once you have booked your shoot. And if you need any more guidance on styling options, you can pop me a message either via email, WhatsApp or Instagram – I’m here for you!

The answer is, I don’t expect them to! I don’t expect them to sit still either. Running around and playing games is my thing! I’m here to tailor the session to their individual personalities, engage their attention and create natural photos with no stress, so don’t be afraid to relax with them and go with the flow.

Your family session can take up to an hour (however it may be slightly less or slightly more depending on how the littles are doing). Allow time to arrive , park and prepare for your photoshoot.

Please only bring family members who are going to be present in your photos. This will enable you to relax and immerse yourself in having fun with your family!

Yes of course! I totally understand being awkward, because I am too! The experience is relaxed – prompted rather than posed. I promise to guide you throughout and ensure you feel at ease.

You will receive your online gallery link within 2-3 weeks, to view your images and choose your final collection.

I will always include parent and sibling photographs in your session. Even your doggies or cats can get involved, we want to capture your little family all together.
